Following through on his social-media teasing, Sam Hunt has released a brand-new song, “Water Under The Bridge”, available everywhere now.

As has been the case with his entire musical catalogue to date, which has included some huge hits, Hunt’s new tune continues to incorporate modern and contemporary elements of other genres and intertwines them into his trademark laid back, free-loving style of his own brand of self-proclaimed country music.

The mood and vibe of “Water Under The Bridge” is that care-free, throwback ode to days gone by, a reminiscent look at the “good ole days” living life and loving life.  As we kick off the summer months and heading into the upcoming holiday weekend, this tune is released at the perfect time.

We were young, dumb, and so full of it

Broken bottles and graffiti

Beer and girls and poppin’ wheelies

Love was fun and life was easy

Now it’s just water under the bridge

Hunt co-wrote the song with Chris LaCorte, Shane McAnally and Josh Osborne, while also producing it along with LaCorte and McAnally.  Over the years since he first made his debut in country music, he has been taking more ownership of his releases, from the songwriting to the producing and everything in between.  With every release, we see more of the musicianship of Sam Hunt, and he continues to keep us guessing with what his next song, album, or project will offer.

“Water Under The Bridge” follows “23”, which was previously released to fan acclaim.  His featured appearance on “Wishful Drinking” by Ingrid Andress is still impacting charts, which has only built more momentum and anticipation for upcoming project from Hunt.  He has teased a forthcoming album for weeks and months, and with the release of “Water Under The Bridge”, his fans and country music listeners everywhere are waiting for word of a new record.  For now, enjoy this new, laid-back tune and enjoy the summer!
