Canadian country singer-songwriter Parker Graye has released her newest single, “Last Rodeo”.  Following in line with a string of tunes and a developing reputation that Graye has garnered for herself since her move to Nashville, this new track continues the tangibly combination of relatable, heartbreaking lyrics with her mysterious, throwback musical aroma.

Co-written by Graye along with Kate Malone and Tori Tullier, “Last Rodeo” is a fascinatingly personal song for the rising songstress.  In fact, the songwriting session centered around the track served as prelude for the eventual end of her relationship at the time.

As she details, “in some ways, it was as if I was sitting in the bleachers waiting for the gate to open, watching him struggle with a metaphorical rope of emotions and uncertainty about our connection.”

The result is an utterly relatable account and portrayal of the emotions we encounter during the end of a love gone bad.  The lyrics are on point, and Graye’s vocals perfectly capture the intended mood of the song, a somberly reflective account of the plethora of emotions we all feel at the end of a relationship.

“Last Rodeo” follows “Cowboys Go”, released in November 2021, which was also produced by Malone.  The single tallied over 125,000 cumulative streams and has served as Parker’s introduction to country music and her latest project, exploring the evolution of relationships.

Graye’s latest release is much like her other music in that it is incredibly unique.  And just like her music, Parker has a lot to say, a lot of stories to tell, and she has an arsenal of artistic and musical talent with which to tell it.
