Jordana Bryant has been turning heads toward her outstanding voice through a series of cover song releases over the past year, including “I Hope You Dance,” “Fast Car,” and “The Good Ones,” all which have acted as a wonderful display of her range and versatility.

But as the spring of 2022 has arrived, so has a new chapter for the young songwriter/artist.

Bryant, who has already earned over 1.3 million global streams and has been named an artist to watch several times over, is now ready to unleash her original song “Guilty.”

Co-written by Bryant with Zack Kale, Seth Mosely, and Allison Veltz, the song perfectly uses its instrumentation to capture a catchy mid-tempo, pop country vibe, but it also masterfully leaves the proper amount of breathing room within it so that it never overshadows Bryant’s vocal, allowing it to become the signature that stands in the spotlight.

Bryant sings us through a relatable, young love lyric of not being able to hide the way that she’s feeling anymore, explaining through the opening verse that she’s been working too hard to act like she doesn’t care, that you wouldn’t believe the energy it takes to keep looking away when he looks at her, etc.

However, that frantic moment of reaching the end of her rope finally comes to a head in the chorus where she unravels all that she’s guilty of; from thinking of him too much, to wanting to be in his arms, and wanting to kiss, call each other, and fall in love…leading her to the very bold confession that comes in the hook, “I’m guilty of it all!”

She continues to lean deeper into that confession as the song progresses, like it’s a breath of fresh air to finally have it all off her chest, singing that she doesn’t even care that he now knows or that every in town knows how she’s feeling, but is rather just happy that the words are no longer “locked up in my head.”

This relatable emotion is captured perfectly through the lyrics and vocal delivery, and then it couples together with a very intriguing instrumentation drop into a clap along rhythm for the start of the final chorus, giving a different dynamic to the song that momentarily provides it with an audience participation aspect that makes it a great fit for an energetic live show.

Jordana Bryant has already turned heads and has plenty of people watching her next move, and with “Guilty,” she meets the buzz head on and delivers a song that gives us a very solid feel as to what we can expect from her original music right here, right now….but more importantly, she’s left us anticipating what’s still to come!
