Chris Janson is just a few weeks away from releasing his brand-new album All In (April 29, 2022), and with his current single “Bye Mom” still impacting the charts, he now gives us our next teaser ahead of the album release with “We Did It Anyway,” a song co-written by Janson with Dallas Davidson, Ashley Gorley, and  Chris Stevens.

Following previously released teasers “All In,” “Cold Beer Truth,” and “Keys To The Country,” Janson’s newest offering continues to turn up that feel-good vibe he’s become known for, while immediately getting your toes tapping along with the catchy, country guitar licks and tempo driven melody.

Chris Janson is artist who clearly knows who he is and what he does best, and “We Did It Anyway” continues to see him strongly connect with the blue-collar crowd, while reminiscing on his own youth and country boy roots.

Hard work in the hot summer sun, whether it was plowing the hayfields or running drills on the football field, is a theme that flows through the opening verse, before shifting gears in the second as he takes us straight to the middle of a bonfire where they’d let loose by picking guitars until the cops showed up.

However, as how any good song should, it’s the chorus that truly is the glue that binds this one together and upholds the ideas laced throughout the verses as Janson sings us down a list of the carefree things they did when they were younger even though they were told not to: drink a beer, chew tobacco, get a little wild, etc.

With each teaser of his forthcoming album, Chris Janson – whether it’s planned or not this way – continues selling his live shows through this ultra-catchy music that is easily a perfect fit to add to any given setlist during his energetic performances.

Just as he did with “Keys To The Country” before it, “We Did Anyway” provides another melody that sticks with you long after the songs final notes are struck, while dropping in a chorus that has you singing along with it after your first listen.
