Jessie James Decker’s single “Should Have Known Better” is a short but sweet powerful anthem about ridding oneself of a past relationship and moving on with style.

Forgive and forget, well forget about that

One look in the mirror and I ain’t ever lookin’ back

They say karma’s a bit…but I’ma make it seem sweet

Cause I’m dressed to kill, honey, how’s it feel knowing you lost me?”

She is oozing with confidence on this empowering track, and her vocals are spot-on, encapsulating the mood and energy behind the music and lyrics.  It’s feisty and sultry, sassy and sweet, and a “don’t-mess-with-me” vibrancy shines through from the tune’s first lyric.

As self-described regarding the song, the song hit home for Jessie.

“I’ve had my heart broken before – we all have, at some point in our lives”, she shared.  “It doesn’t matter if it’s from a relationship ending or from people trying to tear you down.  This song is all about not letting that pain break you and coming out of it on the other side strong and confident.”

The Warner Nashville songstress has a busy spring ahead of her with a long stretch of dates scheduled with Adam Doleac throughout April and May before playing select dates and festivals throughout the summer.
