Country music and Grammy Award winning superstar Chris Stapleton has released his latest single, “Joy Of My Life”.  The song was originally written and recorded by John Fogerty for his 1997 album, ‘Blue Moon Swamp’, and now serves as the third single from Stapleton’s latest record, ‘Starting Over’.

“Joy Of My Life” is the follow-up to his recent #1 single, “You Should Probably Leave,” which was the third chart-topper of the singer-songwriter’s career.

There is no doubt that this is a great song, but there is a noticeable contrast between this tune and what we have come to expect from Stapleton.  He did not write this song, as it serves as one of three covers on the ‘Starting Over’ record along with “Worry B Gone” and “Old Friends”.  And despite the fact that it is evident this is not an original, the song is incredibly well written and as usual, Chris delivers it masterfully with his incredible vocal ability.

Some may have their riches

Some may have their worldly things

As long as I have you

I’ll treasure you each and every day

Just take me by the hand

I am the luckiest man alive

Did I tell you, baby

You are the joy of my life

Stapleton is heading out on the road on his ‘All-American Road Show’ tour, featuring special guests Margo Price, Yola, Willie Nelson, Sheryl Crow, Elle King, and more. Most recently, the 8-time Grammy Award winner took home three trophies for Best Country Album, Best Country Solo Performance, and Best Country Song at the 64th Annual Grammy Awards this April.
