As “Somewhere Cool With You” continues impacting country radio and climbing the charts on SirusXM’s The Highway, and the ultra-catchy “Drinkin’ It Wrong” is making its mark with the good time party crowd, Adam Doleac is upholding his artist to watch status and elevating it with each song he’s releasing.

He now returns with more new music, “Don’t It Sound Alight.”

The song, co-written by Doleac with Josh Jenkins and Chris La Corte, leans on a super chill vibe that perfectly encapsulates the trendy summer tilt that is briefly mentioned in the lyrics as Doleac refers to lake life on lines such as, “Take me down where the boat meets the water - Where the sun sinks down on a line and a bobber.”

However, the more the song progresses, the more the listener will realize that this isn’t just another feel good type of vibey song that’s destined to be a here today, gone tomorrow summertime hit, but rather a song where the true focus is placed on needing to slow life down to live in the moment with the one who matters most, as he points to in the hook of the chorus:

Roll the windows down drive ‘til we’re near

That little spot that no one else can find

Except you and I tonight, alright.”

Descriptive lyrics help paint the slowed down picture of life that he wants to have with just the two of them together, whether it’s when he’s singing of them sitting in the truck bed and sipping red wine, or when he talks about slow dancing out in the country and having the grass as their dance floor and the crickets providing them with the music.

Following the up-tempo, Friday night banger “Drinkin’ It Wrong” wasn’t going to be an easy task by any means, but Adam Doleac seemed to know exactly which song was the perfect one to unveil next so that he could continue to elevate his status and up the anticipation for an album still to come!
